Steely Dan to reissue 1980 album Gaucho on vinyl2 min read


Steely Dan’s Grammy Award-winning album Gaucho is to be launched on vinyl for the primary time in 15 years.

The 1980 LP could be the duo’s remaining launch for 20 years and consists of the songs Hey Nineteen, Babylon Sisters and Time Out Of Thoughts.

Gaucho has been meticulously remastered by Bernie Grundman from a 1980 analog tape copy, initially EQ’d by Bob Ludwig.

Moreover, Gaucho, like the entire titles, is being launched as a restricted version premium 45 RPM model on Extremely Excessive-High quality Vinyl (UHQR) from Analogue Productions, the audiophile in-house reissue label of Acoustic Sounds. Led by the songwriting and virtuoso musical duo of Walter Becker and Donald Fagen, Steely Dan launched a rare run of seven albums on ABC Information and MCA Information from 1972 by means of 1980.
