The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua (UUCNC) will host a neighborhood dinner to honor their Share the Plate Recipients from the final two years. This dinner will likely be held on Wednesday, October 25 at 6pm at 222 Temple Road in Fredonia and the neighborhood is invited to affix this celebration.
Share the Plate is a option to display UUCNC’s dedication to nonprofit organizations whose actions are in step with UUCNC’s rules and sources. The aim of this program is two-fold: to tell the congregation of the work of the group by inviting a consultant of the group to talk briefly at a Sunday service, to show literature, and to reply questions throughout social hour, and to make a monetary contribution within the title of the congregation. When this system began in 2009, the plate was break up 50/50 with the chosen group. Since September 2013, 100% of the non-pledge cash obtained for the Share the Plate recipient is given to the chosen company. As of summer season 2023, congregants at UUCNC have donated over $35,000 to those causes!
