ORMOC CITY — A candidate for barangay councilor was gunned down by motorcycle-riding assailants alongside the nationwide freeway in Barangay Casab-ahan, Gandara city, Samar on Friday, October 6.
Roldan Pesidas, 43, supervisor of Achiever Safety Company Philippines, was driving his motorbike at round 3 p.m. when the perpetrators on board their motorbike abruptly fired at him.
The sufferer suffered gunshot wounds in his physique.
The suspects fled in direction of Catbalogan Metropolis, based on witnesses.
Police investigators mentioned Pesidas was a candidate for councilor in Barangay Canhawan Gote, Catbalogan Metropolis, Samar.
The Gandara police are conducting an investigation to determine the suspects and the motive behind the killing.
