Following the success of the deluxe reissues of Vienna, Rage In Eden and Quartet albums, Ultravox launch Lament fortieth anniversary version.
Chrysalis Data will launch a 40th Anniversary Deluxe Version field set of Lament, the band’s massively profitable fourth album with Midge Ure, on 6 September.
With the expertise gained type working with legendary producers Conny Plank (1981’s Rage In Eden) and George Martin (1982’s Quartet), 1984’s Lament was a self-produced album.
An emotionally darker, extra melancholic affair than its predecessor, within the context of the occasions and with the world on the top of the Chilly Struggle, the album offers with themes comparable to paranoia, the worry of nuclear annilation and creeping communism.

The brand new 5 LP Restricted Version Clear Vinyl field set comprises 34 tracks in whole, with a beforehand unreleased recordings. LP1 is the unique album remastered, LP 2+3, the newly blended Lament Prolonged Album Re-Combine includes new remixes by Moby, Clean & Jones, Steven Wilson and Midge Ure, whislt LP 4+5 includes Ultravox’s Set Actions 1984 live performance recorded at Hammersmith Odeon in 1984.
All codecs have been designed replicating designer Peter Saville’s unique black-print-on-black-card paintings.
